The community of Sun City Summerlin  consists of 7,800 homes.  I would say the numbers for seniors going in to foreclosure is low.

Sun City Summerlin is one of two active adult communities with in Summerlin.  I am now doing the active adult communities separately.  So from this day forward Summerlin, Sun City Summerlin and the second adult community Siena will have their own statistics.

I have always felt very safe living in Sun City Summerlin because we have a security patrol that is next to none.  They are all volunteers.  They care about our community and are very vigilant and work very hard for the people who live in the neighborhood.
There are 230 volunteers and they keep our community safe 365 days 24/7.  How is that for dedication?
Mayor Oscar Goodman and Councilman Larry Brown presented this incredible group of men and women with Citizens of the Month Award.  40 members were on hand to receive this honor.
Each shift usually includes a dispatcher and four patrol cars.  There are some ex military and also ex police but many of these folks are just everyday people who care enough.

This is a very nice view of J.W. Marriott Resort and Spa. There is also a beautiful casino called The Rampart which connects with the Resort and Spa. The J.W. Marriott also backs up to the TPC Golf Course. Before Red Rock Casino opened this was the only Casino Spa Resort that was officially in Summerlin. Most people think that Sun Coast is part of Summerlin but the boundaries end just south of the J.W. Marriott. Thanks to LasVegasUndressed for this beautiful shot.

The Charleston is the smallest of the duplexes. It is 1032 square feet. Very well laid model perfect for one or two people. The bedrooms are separate for privacy. The kitchen is long and well laid out, with a space in the corner for a table. When my mom lived in the Charleston model before we bought our Glenbrook, she had a cafe type table with a TV on it. She also made the second bedroom her TV room. This is a great duplex.

The next great attached home in Sun City Summerlin. This home is 1196 Square feet. Very well laid out. This attached unit makes it very cozy for one or two people. The options on this home included bumped out windows in the living room and a den option.

The Glenbrook model is one of the most popular models in Sun City Summerlin. 1799 sq. feet very well laid out. It is an attached townhouse. It has a large living room with a two way fireplace between the living and family room.

Right off of Del Webb Blvd. and Sun City Blvd. is a business park on either side of the road.  In this business park is Longs Drugs.  They carry a small variety of groceries, alcohol,  pharmacy, and A US Post Office.  Fully functional with package mailing and the whole nine yards.  Again anyone living with in Sun City Summerlin can drive their golf carts to this popular destination.
