This master-planned community is built on land that was owned by the infamous Howard Hughes. The Howard Hughs Corporation ( an affiliate of General Growth Properties) plans everything very carefully making this the most celebrated community in Las Vegas. Summerlin ranked as America’s best-selling master-planned community for a decade.
Summerlin sits on the western rim of the Las Vegas Valley, 12 minutes from downtown and 20 minutes from the Las Vegas Strip. In the words of the Howard Hughes Corporation ” Summerlin has been designed to be a multi-generational and fully integrated community where residents can live, work, play, learn, worship, and shop.” In this persons opinion they are doing a dang good job of it. There are resale homes and homes still being built. Build out is projected in 2020.
