My mom was in Summerlin Hospital for about 3 weeks a couple of years ago. They took very good care of her so I was not surprised when I read that they had won the consumer choice award for 2008-09 from the National Research Council. Summerlin Hospital was ranked one of the highest quality health care faculties in the United States.

Located off of Town Center and in the village of The Crossing . This beautiful hospital has some awesome views of the mountains and also The Strip while you are recovering.

To achieve this award surveys were distributed to more than 400,000 health care consumers, asking about everything from quality of equipment to level of service. Summerlin Hospital joins only 116 other hospitals across the US to receive this award for the 2008-09 time period. The respondents had used the hospital and its services with in the year previous.

At the end of April 2008, Summerlin Hospital opened a 20,000 sq. foot extension to its emergency room. This included new CAT scan machines and radiology scanners. Summerlin Hospital has around 1,100 employees and 1,400 physicians on staff.

Summerlin Has A New Park

Mesa Park Summerlin Las Vegas

Summerlin which is already known for it’s hometown feel has added another park. This new park brings the total number of parks in Summerlin to 23. The new park is the center piece of The Mesa Village. This park is 19 acres and has some great features. Three Little League baseball fields along with a concession stand. It is expected that by early 2009 the fields will begin to host Little League games and other baseball programs that Summerlin residents participate in..

Also featured are two lighted tennis courts, a tot lot, picnic areas, ramadas, and a lot of open play area. Each of the eighteen villages in the Summerlin master-planned community is designed around a community park or a golf course.

Many of the communities are built around specific recreational themes such as baseball, tennis, soccer, or football. The residents of Summerlin are surveyed to determine what is best for the diverse residents of this wonderful master-planned community.

Summerlin is a wonderful place to live, walking trails, all kinds of recreation, parks, houses of worship, shopping, business, top notch medical care. You could not go wrong living in Summerlin
