Summerlin Art Festival

I know this festival, in its 8th year is not until September but I wanted you to know about it now. I will update and add pictures as they become available.

The eighth annual Summerlin Art Festival features two events in one: La Strada dell’Arte, a Summerlin street painting festival adopted from Italian tradition, and Celebration of the Arts, an outdoor art festival featuring more than 125 artists and craftsmen from throughout the southwestern United States. Part of the fun is watching artists of all ages transform the Summerlin Centre Community Park into an outdoor gallery of colorful art, using the park sidewalks as their canvas. Peruse and buy the works of talented artisans featuring their collections of hand-made, one-of-a-kind creations, including paintings, glasswork, pottery, jewelry, metalwork, sculpture, mixed media, wearing apparel, hand-made soaps, handcrafted dolls and woodcrafts. The event includes a full entertainment line-up with performances by the Academy of Nevada Ballet Theatre, live music, food art displays and ice carving demonstrations, children’s activities, living statues and roving entertainers. A wide variety of food and beverage will be available for purchase.
